9/23: Today, Ford India launched the new 2015 Ford Figo which has new design, new interiors and new mechanics. The new hatchback measures 3,886 mm in length, 1,695 mm in width and 2,491 mm in wheelbase. The boot space is 257 litres.
The new Figo is powered by both petrol and diesel engines. It comes with a 1.2 litre Ti-VCT and a 1.5 litre petrol engine which produce 87PS/112 Nm torque and 110PS/136 Nm torque respectively. The 1.5 litre petrol variant also get the option of a 6-speed automatic transmission. Where as the diesel mill is 1.5 litre and produces 100PS and 136Nm of peak torque.
The ARAI-rated fuel economy for the 1.2 petrol stands at 18.16 km/l, whereas that for the diesel is rated at 25.83 km/l.
It can be said as one of the safest car in India because it is the first car in the segment to offer 6 airbags. Apart from airbag, the car has ABS + EBD. Additionally the AT variant has ESP, TCS & Hill-Launch Assist.
